Neues Album: " Teer" erschienen I rand: live in Düsseldorf I Dänemark: Debut piano miniatures

Unser neues rand- Album "Teer" ist am 15. August als digitaler Release erschienen und nun auf Bandcamp und auf allen Streaming- Plattformen erhältlich:

Über "Teer": ...exuding a technoid and industrial ambience, the EP sees the piano-electro duo of Jan Gerdes and Dr.Nojoke venture into uncharted territories.
‘Teer’ evokes the atmosphere of urban spaces and overlooked places: the profane and seemingly meaningless transitions of car parks, subways and construction sites, where material textures and surfaces are scanned acoustically. You can hear machines moving and processing the tar, smoothing the ground and forming layers and bead-like thickenings as it transitions from liquid to solid, with the edges fraying in a coordinated manner....."

Ambient Landscape schreibt dazu: "....Jan and Bogdan, collectively known as ‘rand’, stray FAR off the ambient/art reservation on this one (Teer EP, August 2025); creating an experimental, semi-techno, stomping sonic journey into the musical labyrinth of beat and blip driven/pulsing electronica. I was at first shocked, then impressed and, as of this writing, my ears lean more towards ‘Teer 2 – rolled’ and its gradual build up of collaborative sound. I don’t know when or where we’ll work it into a podcast . . . but it hums along nicely via my phone and ear-buds when I’m seeking a change of electronic pace. This is definitely one that “grows” on you (if you’re brave enough to delve into their quasi-industrial/found-sound world to pursue repeated listenings!)

14.9. 2025 rand: live in Düsseldorf

rand, new urban and sensitive music for piano and electronics alias Dr.Nojoke/electronics und mir am Klavier/Syntesizer spielt am 14.9. ein Live-Set "Electronic Echoes/New Counterpoints" in der Jazzschmiede Düsseldorf.
Ausgangsmaterial unserer Performance sind fünf Klavierminiaturen zeitgenössischer Komponisten der Gruppe Musik21. die wir mit unseren eigenen Remix-Verfahren zu neuen originären rand- Kompositionen umformen. Musik für alle, die sich für die Schnittflächen von zeitgenössischer Musik und der Musik der elektronischen Clubkultur interessieren!
